Established in the year 2004, the Department offers a 4-year B.E. Degree Programme
in "Electrical & Electronics Engineering", with an annual intake of 60 students.
The Staff
The Department has 10 members of faculty and 4 members of supporting staff with
1 Professor, 1 Associate Professors, 7 Assistant Professors and 1 visiting faculty.
The faculty has well distributed teaching expertise in various specializations like
Control Systems, Electrical Machines, Non-Conventional Energy Sources, Power Systems,
Power Electronics, and drives and controls.

The Department has useful linkages with such renowned organizations as Bharat Heavy
Electrical Limited (BHEL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Power Grid,
and Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), AP Transco. The Department has an IE
Students Chapter to facilitate effective interaction with the industry and academic
through seminars, workshops, expert lectures...
The Infrastructure
Spread over an area of 1,000 Sq. Mts, the Department is equipped with 6 labs, departmental
library, and classrooms with modern teaching aids and staff rooms. To the comprehensive
and contemporary Electrical Machinery Labs, Power Electronics Lab, circuits and
measurements lab, the Control Systems Lab, Power Systems.
